If you purchase this dust cover and feel you should get a turntable for free you certainly have personal issues which are not my problem. Otherwise, the tonearm weight will rub against the dust cover. WIth this smaller base, the dust cover has to be removed when spinning records. I also painted the base black & applied an acrylic coating.
